About Us

Worship with Purpose

We have worship services that are simple uplifting sermons that are relevant to the current issues facing us today, congregational singing that encourages unity and fellowship, a weekly remembrance of our Lord's death through the sharing of the Lord's Supper, the offering of prayers, and the opportunity to give a free-will offering. (1 Cor. 14:33 , 40, 31, 15 Eph. 5:18-21 1 Cor. 11:17-34 16:1-4 1 Tim. 2:1-8)

Bible-Based

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and in it we find God's character, our purpose, and the meaning of life therefore, we fully submit to its teachings in our worship, ministry, personal lives, and leadership capacity. (2 Tim. 3:16-18)

Because of this we look to no centralized organization or creed for direction other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: (Col. 1:9-18) thus, we are free of denominationalism and simply desire to be the kind of church prescribed in the New Testament. (Acts 2:40-47)

Leadership

Our authority for church leadership is based solely on scripture. We have ordained elders and deacons whose purpose is to lead, tend, and feed the flock of Jesus. (Acts 14:23, 20:28 Titus 1, Phil. 1:1)

The work of leadership is summed up best in Eph. 4:11-16. These verses reveal that as leaders we are to promote, encourage, and lead the congregation to spiritual maturity and in developing their talents.

We accomplish this as the early church did without institutional concepts that can take away from personal responsibility, initiative, and parental authority. (Eph. 6:1-4, 4:16 1 Samuel 8 Acts 9:31)

Teaching

We find in scripture the grand approach of training faithful men to effectively teach and preach the gospel in the worship assembly. We are following this same example of maintaining a plurality of effective teachers. (Acts 13:1-7 1 Tim. 2:1-2)

Evangelism

We understand that the great mission of the church is to save souls and our first and primary goal is to accomplish just that. This is a tremendous mission and everything we do here begins with this Christ given commission.

The scriptures also show the important role of evangelists. We support evangelists, work closely with them, and tutor younger men who desire this great work. (Mt. 28:19-20 Titus 1:5 Eph. 4:11 Romans 10:14-15 2 Timothy 4:5 1 Cor. 9:14 2 Cor. 5:18)

Membership

In Acts 2:38 we find that on the first day of the existence of God's church, those who believed, repented, and were baptized were saved. We also see in Acts 2:47 that those who were saved were added to the church by the Lord himself.

When one becomes a Christian, he/she automatically became a member of Christ's church we cannot demand of people anything beyond their simple submission to Jesus.
